Original c. 1940 photograph of the baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York and showing an early view of how the treasures were displayed. Stamped on the back by a Cooperstown photographer, this is one of the earliest images of the museum interior known to exist and it could even date to the opening of the museum in the late 1930's! One of the most famous images of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig shaking hands adorns the far wall that we can clearly see!
