People tend to think that after Bruce Lee landed the role of Kato on the television show "Green Hornet" that it was all uphill after that, but in reality there was a dark period. After the show was cancelled in in 1967, he started his own training studio but needed to find better money and continued to act. In 1969 he landed a small role in the film "Marlow" with James Garner. While we have seen photographs from this film before, this is the only that pictures Lee we have ever handled. The image shows Garner holding a gun to Bruce Lee who is holding some money in a sort of robbery type situation. An extremely rare and early photograph of Lee from before he made the switch to martial arts films, this is a nice image with pinholes at the corners from editorial use being the only flaws. An important piece of Bruce Lee history!
