1949 Large photograph of Jackie Robinson posing at the ballpark and showing off his batting form for Brooklyn Dodgers team photographer Barney Stein. Crystal clear and bold, the image is perhaps the greatest ever taken of Jackie and is one of his most famous shots for sure that was used to make his most beautiful baseball card of all time, his 1950 Bowman issue. The photograph is crease free and bold, grading a perfect 10/10. An important image that is being offered for sale for the first time ever, this is among the top photographs of Robinson that exists and is among the top ten or twenty baseball card images of all time. The photo comes pre-certified by PSA as a Type 1 and has a full letter that comes with the image. When the image was submitted to PSA it had a light blue secretarial signature across the front which has since been professionally cleaned off using only water to reveal just the image which looks perfect. When tilted to the light, the light indentation of the pen can barely be seen, but it is mentioned for accuracy. One of the most historically significant images we have offered, especially in relation to Jackie's importance in the game and the fact that this is the photo used to make his most beautiful baseball card.
