Large 1939 photograph of Hank Greenberg from the Detroit Tigers as he picks out his weapon and waits patiently for his turn at the plate. A sweeping and crystal clear image, this is one of the better photographs of Greenberg we have handled in some time. From the archives of the New York Daily News, the photo has significant age to it but we feel it was developed off the original negative in the early 1950's.
