1916-17 Statuesque action photograph of pitcher Lee Meadows in uniform with the Phillies. He would later become one of the stars of the World Series winning Pittsburgh Pirates, but this early image captures him in uniform with the Phillies. Stamped on the back by the International News and in great shape with his name added by a skilled artist at a newspaper. This is his most famous baseball card image and was used for his Collins McCarthy card and American Caramel cards as well.
