Huge April 22, 1921 cabinet photo from the second home game of the season in Pittsburgh at Forbes Field. Manager George Gibson was being honored on this day and he appears at home plate along with the umpire crew and members of the Cincinnati Reds. The photo includes Gibson, Hall of Famer Barney Dreyfuss of the Pirates, Hall of Famer Edd Roush and his manager of the Reds, Pat Moran. Hall of Famer Hank O'Day is also present with arms folded. Extensive research has pinpointed that two of them in the background are Ad Gumbert and Joe Mackrell as well. This is a highly silvered and incredibly clear oversized cabinet photograph mounted to thick board and it was at one time framed. The photo portion looks great but it does have some glue on the edges from the photo being matted at one time, but this can easily be cleaned off. A unique image that is among the largest pieces of pre-war photography we have ever handled!
