Interesting 1917 large photograph of a catcher from Harvard University as he sports the large words "Control" across his chest protector in order to let the pitcher remember what he was supposed to focus on. This innovation seems silly today, but back when it was taken, this was a serious new invention! Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is the only example of this photo we have seen and it has a huge paper caption on the back.
