1915 Batting photo of deadball era star Hank Gowdy as he shows his form at the ballpark. He was one of the top players in the game and when he signed up to go "Over There" in WWI, he had no idea he would be coming home a decorated hero! One hundred years ago Gowdy was one of the biggest names in sports and here he is at the top of his game! The image is dated on the back from the years just before WWI and it has some editorial painting from newspaper use. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, the photo is clear but has some pinholes and a few small spots of damage on the lower left from editorial use.
