Absolutely incredible c. 1914 aerial photograph of the interior of Shibe Park, the crown jewel of Philadelphia. The photo shows the massive structure including a newly completed section across left field that helps date the image to the mid-teens. The white areas over the infield is muslin cloth the Athletics used to cover the dirt during the harsh Philadelphia winters. This is the only image showing this groundskeeping tactic we have ever seen. The cabinet mount was slightly trimmed to fit into a frame at one point, but it presents well and the important photo section at center is in great condition. A likely unique work of photography that presents beautifully!
