1929 Artistic masterpiece of photography showing the batting grip of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig as he demonstrates how he swings. A tremendous use of light and shadows, this is a majestic piece of photography regardless of the subject, but made extra special because it does picture the most famous young baseball player of the era. Clean and bold, the photo was produced by a skilled photographer from the International News and it is stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. Artistic images of the intricacies of baseball are rare and undervalued with this being one of the finest of it's type we have ever seen. The photo has some handling wear at the corners but the clarity and quality are essentially perfect. Photo is encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1 and includes a full LOA as well.
