In the 1910's, the suffragette movement got a little more raw and women started to play a little rougher in trying to make social changes. For the first time ever it became a badge of honor to do time in prison in the quest for equal rights. Pins were made for the women who did time for the cause and they became the cool thing to have. The offered photograph artistically highlights one of these pins from the 1930's and it shows a motif of a prison door to represent incarceration. Photo has a small rip but it otherwise presents beautifully.
