At its core this is a 1970 full color photograph of Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente in uniform with San Juan and posing during the winter league. In reality, it is so much more. The image was owned by Clemente himself, he held it, he once looked at it, and he saved it. It is therefore, a connection between the owner of the image and Roberto himself as it connects the two despite time and space. The photo is unique and comes with a full letter of provenance, signed by Vera Clemente cementing the provenance. Color images of Roberto Clemente are extremely rare and this is one of the best we have handled.
