Original 1940's statuesque batting photograph of the great "Splendid Splinter" of the Boston Red Sox, Ted Williams. One of his most famous batting photographs ever taken, there is some debate about whether or not this is the photo used for the action shot on his yellow 1954 Topps card. The lower portion of the image is exact, but the upper portion is slightly off which could be some artistic tweaking, or a composite of two images use, but the similarity is too much to overlook. A fine original that displays well despite some creasing from handling over the years.
