1949 Photograph of President Harry Truman as he throws out the first pitch of the baseball season in Washington. An important image as America was still rebuilding after the end of WWII, this is issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. Condition is nice overall and the quality is outstanding. Images of Truman at the ballpark are tough with this being the ONLY 1949 example we have ever offered! The paper caption notes this was the work of photographer Al Muto.
