It is interesting that 1920 is the year that babe Ruth changed the world, but on July 11, 1920 this photo was released by Underwood and Underwood that clearly refers to George Sisler as the leading slugger in both leagues! While Ruth was belting homers, Sisler was batting an incredible .416 to the delight of all old-school baseball fans. A statuesque batting photo with a large paper caption on the back, this is one of his finest images we have ever handled and it presents beautifully!
