1968 Was the banner year in the life of John Lennon. He officially announced his relationship with Yoko Ono and took the next steps to become an artist, both in music and sculpture, cementing his place in history. The offered double weight photograph is the only known example of this image which captures Lennon on one of his sculptures at his first major art show at the Robert Fraser Gallery in London in July, 1968. Taken by photographer John Goldblatt and stamped on the back by a London News Service, this is a nearly perfect image in great shape from the most important time in Lennon's life!
