1908 Photograph of Bill Armour, Manager of the Toledo Baseball Team. Three years earlier he was the Manager of the Detroit Tigers when a young rookie named Ty Cobb was sent his way to mentor and teach. Issued by the Gilliams Press Syndicate, they are the oldest stock photo service to issue images with paper labels on the back and are an underrated company to find early photographs from. Condition of this silver gelatin photograph is very nice! One of only a handful of Armous images known to exist as he died in 1922!
