History has been kinder to Nikola Tesla than the people of his own generation were, but genius is rarely understood in it's own time. Because he was famous early in the 20th century, then was viewed as sort of a crack-pot when photography was more prominent, images of Tesla are extremely rare. This image, taken in 1935, shows the once famous scientist relegated to his new York apartment on his 79th birthday, but is important nonetheless. He is seen here talking about his new inventions in the work of "wireless technology" which was almost laughed at during his lifetime. A rare work of photography in great shape, issued by the International News and offered here for the first time ever fresh out of a newspaper archive.
