Sweeping and incredible c. 1955 action photograph from an NHL hockey game between the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leaf's and showing Hall of Famer Terry Sawchuk looking back into the net as he is beaten for a goal. Normally, indoor shots of NHL games are of poor quality and the ice provided the worst possible backdrop for a camera at the time, but this spectacular image is a rare anomaly as the image is crystal clear and bold. Easily, this is the finest image of an NHL hockey game we have ever seen in any form. The photo is a restrike from around the 1980's, but the photo clearly has age to it and it presents like an original at first glance. Sports photography does not get any better than this!
