Weird 1955 photograph of a window display at a bar in Brooklyn which was not shy about their feelings toward black pitcher Don Newcombe. While showing their support for the Dodgers, proudly displaying a Schaefer Beer team photo, they have also placed a dummy of Don Newcombe in a coffin and placed some less than flattering signs next to it. It is hard to believe any Dodgers fan would have ill feelings toward their ace pitcher but there must be more to this story out there somewhere. Whether racially motivated or in jest, this photo is an interesting piece of Brooklyn Dodgers history.
