Large 1940's studio photograph of Branch Rickey from the Brooklyn Dodgers and taken about the time he was changing baseball and the world in the process. The image is a perfect condition silver gelatin studio image in an impressive studio folder from Strem photographer studio. The quality of this image can not be overstated and given the timing, mid 1940's, the thoughtful pose was almost certainly chosen on purpose in light of his decision to sign Jackie Robinson as the first black player in the major leagues. Likely from Rickey's own estate, this is the finest images of the Hall of Famer we have ever seen in any form!
