Baseball icon Ty Cobb opened the season with the first hit (ceremonial, from a ball pitched by mayor Angelo Rossi). The image captures Cobb as he connects for the ceremonial hit. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen!
