1922 Portrait photograph of New York Yankees star first baseman Wally Pipp in uniform and posing at the ballpark. He was off to a hot start and the paper caption on the back notes that he was the best first baseman in the American League. Too bad a guy named Gehrig was coming along shortly! One of his better images from a quality standpoint, there is pinholes and creasing from editorial use that keep the technical grade down a bit.
