Original 1922 photograph of Judge Kennesaw Mountain Landis as he opens the World Series at the Polo Grounds by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch from the stands. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, this is a nice example with exceptional clarity and a crease from editorial use. One of the better images of Landis we have offered considering the setting and it dates to early in his tenure as commissioner!
