1918 Original photograph of the National League champion Chicago Cubs in uniform. One of the toughest years to find images from, the United States was swept up in WWI and paper was scarce, making photographs from the national game rare as well. While the Cubs would lose the World Series to the Red Sox, this would symbolize the end of a decade of dominance for the team and usher in an age of futility spanning almost one hundred years. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a paper caption as well. Photo has some pinholes from editorial use but it otherwise presents quite well.
