Large 1920's photograph of the greatest slugger of all time, Babe Ruth, as he chooses his weapon before stepping to the plate to punish the next pitcher. A clear photograph off the original negative that has tones so deep that the individual grains of wood on the bats can be seen with the naked eye. The background is darkened making this use of light and shadows the work of a true master of photography! It is interesting to note the among the bats that Ruth is NOT choosing is one of his own in the foreground! Photo is in beautiful condition and while it is a re-strike, it appears to be from about the 1950's putting it right on the edge of qualifying for a "vintage 3."
