1919 Silver gelatin photograph of the great comedian Charlie Chaplin boxing with famous heavyweight Kid Lewis. Chaplin, ever the comedian, is striking a fearful pose for the camera while Lewis also plays around. Exceptional pre-1920 image of the greatest comedian of his era and from one of his most famous photo-shoots of the era! Published by the Central News Photo Service of New York and stamped on the back, this also has a paper caption that overlaps to the front. This is one of only a handful of known examples of this famous image.
