1923 Important horizontal action photograph of Babe Ruth crossing the plate after belting one of his TWO home runs in game two of the World Series. Ruth had only hit one series homer in his career before this game in which he belted two. It was symbolic in a way as he was the man who helped build the Yankee dynasty, was the first to homer at their new stadium, and would also be the hero of their first ever title season. He is greeted at home plate by batboy Eddie Bennett while a dejected Giants catcher looks helplessly on at what had just happened. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back, this is one of the most historically important images of Ruth we have offered and it comes pre certified by PSA (Type 1) as well. Condition is also outstanding, making this a perfect 10/10!
