Incredible September 1960 photograph from slightly behind the scenes and showing Senator John F. Kennedy speaking during his nationally televised debate with Vice President Richard Nixon. The Kennedy Nixon debate was one of the seminal events of the Presidential election and it helped Kennedy eek out a win that would define a generation and change America. This is the only image from the debate we have ever handled and it presents beautifully with the CBS camera visible as well as the moderators seated in front of the speakers. Issued by the United Press and stamped on the back, the image grades a perfect 10/10!
