Extremely rare c. 1961-62 early photograph of the new "Project Mercury" astronauts gathered together for a briefing. Clearly visible among others is Gus Grissom and what appears to be the back of John Glenn as well. Stamped on the back by the original photographer and with a pre-1963 stamp as well, this is one of the earliest images of the astronauts from Project Mercury we have ever handled.
