The photographers who took images of Marilyn Monroe have themselves achieved a cult like status in the world of collectible photography. They rarely if ever appeared with their famous subjects, but this image of Marilyn and her favorite photographer Milton Greene is an incredible exception. Taken during a break in the action from filming "Bus Stop" in 1956, Greene is comfortable around his friend on the couch as the two enjoy a laugh. A crystal clear work of photography that Milton himself would be proud of, the clarity of this image is fantastic. Issued by the United Press in 1963, this is just outside our window of five years for a "vintage 1" but has the look and feel of a 1956 original. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
