Absolutely breathtaking 1915-16 silver gelatin photograph of Jim Thorpe from the New York Gaints in full uniform by Underwood & Underwood. Exquisitely detailed and masterfully executed, this is the greatest image of Thorpe ever taken in our opinion and certainly the finest we have handled. This is only the second example of this masterpiece we have seen offered for sale and the finest of the two! Some light creasing but a perfect example of clarity and contrast.
