Lot Description  

When one thinks of women's professional basketball they immediately think of the WNBA, but most do not realize a professional league operated from 1977-1980. Offered here is an extremely rare photograph from the first incarnation of pro basketball (Women's Professional Basketball League) and showing star Ann Meyers of the New Jersey Gems as she shoots over Sharon Farrah of the New York Stars. This is the only photograph from this short lived and rare league we have ever seen!
