Every innovation has a genesis and you are looking at one! Today the teaching of Golf is big business, but in 1922 when Chick Evans stepped up to the microphone with his club in hand, it represented the first time anyone had recorded audio golf lessons. He would be the first of thousands to take the step into a multi-million dollar enterprise. We can't imagine it worked too well without being able to see what the professional was doing, but nonetheless it represents a bold step into using technology to further ones golf game which has evolved into computer programs and lasers! This is one of the only images of Evans recording these records we have ever seen and it is a beautiful example of this historic moment with a bold image in nice shape overall.
