Important c. 1908 photograph of Yale University football players (the best team in the country) working out with what is described on the back as a "NEW" play, the forward pass! This is one of the earliest images relating to the advent of this play we have ever seen and the earliest to mention it by name, this is a new discovery that is sure cement a place in football history, just like the forward pass! Stamped on the back by Brown Brothers and in decent shape overall with some chipping from news-room handling.
