1961 Unique photograph of Roger Maris taken during a trip to Fenway Park to play the Red Sox during the waning days of the season in which he chased down Babe Ruth and hit 61 home runs. Taken during either game 157 or game 158, this was the most stressful time for Maris as he was stuck on 59 home runs and trying desperately to catch Ruth. Stamped on the back by photographer Jack Sheahan of the Boston Globe and in great shape with some editorial marks from publication, this is a unique piece of baseball history that presents beautifully.
