In 1999 a live album from Jimi Hendrix was released from two concerts he held December 31, 1969 and the next day Jan 1, 1970 with his "band of Gypsy's. The album titled "Live at the Fillmore East" is now part of rock 'n roll history. This photograph of Jimi playing his classic Fender Stratocaster is from this live show and is one of the only documented images known to exist. Issued by the United Press and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is perhaps the most important Hendrix image we have ever handled and certainly one of the best we have ever seen.
