c. 1915 Unique photograph of Philadelphia Athletics young catcher Wickey McAvoy in uniform and posing at the ballpark. A year earlier he spent most of the year as Babe Ruth's catcher in Baltimore, but now was back in the big leagues. From McAvoy's personal scrapbook and offered here for the first time ever, the clarity is perfect and condition is pretty nice with a small corner chip off the lower right.
