1910 Action photograph of Sam Crawford of the Detroit Tigers seen holding a runner from the New York Yankees close during a game at Hilltop park. The image is clear and bold, clearly off Conlon's negative. Normally when you find works of art like this which have been die-cut and adhered to artist board, it was done by some no-named editorial worker at a newspaper. In this case, the artistic work was done by Charles Conlon himself and his handwritten notes adorn the back of this unique piece.
