Rare 1931 silver gelatin photograph of Bobby Jones on the site of Augusta National with his Engineer, Wendell P. Miller, looking over the blueprints and examining the area that would become the greatest golf course of all time. While there are plenty of early Augusta National images in the hobby, there are not many of the course grounds of heavenly venue from before construction started. Large photo shows Bobby Jones and Miller standing on the course while Jones enthusiastically points something out to the Engineer, trying to convey his vision. Proof of how involved Jones was with this course construction, this is the finest image of Jones during the early conceptual stage of Augusta National in the world. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this is being offered here for the first time ever, fresh out of the Underwood archives!
