Stunning 1923 sweeping photograph of the construction of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx as it nears it final stages and is almost ready for games to take place. A panoramic style image in it's current state, the photo captures the entire structure in one incredible frame. Workers are on the field and in the stands working in a frenzy as opening day is quickly approaching. Scaffolding and temporary sheds built for the workers adorn the field as well as a simple banner hanging behind home plate, visible to the passing trains, that simply reads, "Yankee Stadium." One of the finest images of the construction we have ever seen, issued by the International News and with most of the stamp on the back, the photo presents beautifully with a few very small rips at the extreme edges from news-room handling.
