1954 Touching photograph of legendary author Ernest Hemingway greeting his wife on her arrival in Kenya during one of his safari expeditions through the country. Issued by the International News and with a full paper caption on the back, the image is credited to LOOK magazine. At the time the photograph was issued it had been reported that the plane carrying Hemingway and his wife had crashed in Uganda and he was feared to be dead! He would be located the next day and cheated death once more adding to his legacy! Condition and quality are both outstanding and this one, despite being taken in Africa, is off the original negative which is rare!
