Lot Description  

1944 Dramatic photograph of a dead Japanese soldier on the island of Bougainville. A fantastic and tragic image in beautiful condition that looks like a work of art, it is titled on the back "Gift to the Emperor". Stamped on the back by the War Department and issued through Acme, this is a crystal clear original.
