Lot Description  

The Brooklyn Dodgers dominated the National League from 1947-1956, winning multiple pennants and the World Series in 1955. Few teams in that span bested them, but one that did were the 1950 Philadelphia Phillies "Wiz Kids." Here the Dodgers, led by Jackie Robinson, walk off the field in Brooklyn, dejected after losing the Phillies and the NL pennant in the process. A famous image that is hard to find in any form with this one being a high grade wire photo complete with the date on the back.
