Incredible 1940 photograph of Bob Feller from the Cleveland Indians celebrating in the locker room after his win against the Chicago White Sox. Taken on opening day at Comiskey Park, there was a buzz in the air, only heightened by what Feller accomplished on this day. He beat the White Sox 1-0 and threw his first career no-hitter in the process, on opening day no less. An important piece of baseball history related to one of the greatest pitchers to ever take the mound. Issued by the International News and it looks great with a light crease through the center (hard to see).
