1928 Huge posed action photograph of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander in full uniform and taken on the eve of the World Series against the Yankees. A few years earlier he was the savior of the team as he came in with the bases loaded and struck out Tony Lazzeri to preserve the game. Issued by the International News just barely ten years after the original was shot (1941) this is one of the most visually impressive and largest images of Alexander that exists. Photo has some wear at the top but the quality is outstanding!
