Incredible 1955 posed photograph of Negro leaguer Hank Aaron in uniform with the Milwaukee Braves and posing during spring training in uniform. The image is stamped on the back by his former club, the Indianapolis Clowns, and was distributed by them as a promotional tool to hype up their guy as he made the jump to the big leagues and was set to play in his sophomore season now sporting uniform number 44. This is one of only a handful of these images known to exist and the first we have ever personally handled. Condition is nice and the quality is perfect, definitely off the original negative and a true "vintage 1" early photo of Hank Aaron which is a huge find in the hobby! NOTE: This image was originally described as a 1954 rookie image as there is a handwritten date, but we have since been informed that this dates to spring training 1955 after his rookie season (before his second season) based on the uniform number and the back stamp combination. Please keep this in mind when bidding.
