1918 Sweeping batting photograph of Oscar "Happy" Felsch of the World Champion Chicago White Sox as they worked out during spring training to defend their title. At the time this image was taken Felsch was the rising star of the club, but within a few years he would be banished from baseball forever; a casualty of the Black Sox scandal of 1919. The offered photo from the International News is stamped on the back and presents well with note to some handling wear and pinholes from publication. Images of Felsch are undervalued compared to his Black Sox peers as he was the one player on the rise when his career was cut short!
