Jackie Robinson's steal of home plate during the 1955 World Series is one of the most iconic moments in all of baseball history. Regardless of where you stand, the intense debate only adds to the legacy of the moment. In many ways, this moment defined the career of Jackie more so than even his debut in 1947. This vintage example is a fantastic three-part composite issued by the International News and stamped on the back showing Jackie as he starts his slide and Berra waits with ball in his glove, the tag on Jackie's leg, and the follow through showing the force of Robinson's speed pushing Berra backwards toward the umpire. This is the only example of this particular composite we have ever seen and it grades nearly perfect.
