1934 Photograph from early in the reign of the Nazi regime and showing British troops marching through the streets of Saarbruecken as it was contemlating it's future. Great Britain was hoping they would stary neutral but the Swastika flags loomed large in their future as it would vote over 90% to reunification with the Germans! A symbolic and poignant photograph and one of the earliest photographic representations of the swastika we have handled.
